


Dr. Eng. Iwona Hołowacz, university professor - for 20 years she worked at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, currently she is a member of the Medical Faculty of Wrocław University of Science and Technology team. Lecturer at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, Rector's Representative for Quality Assurance of Education.
Her research interests include various aspects of contemporary biomedical engineering. She deals with, among others, applications of biomedical optics. She is a specialist in confocal and holotomographic microscopy, and also deals with biomaterials and the application of image analysis methods.
She is a valued educator, she conducts classes using modern teaching methods that take into account the latest achievements in biomedical engineering. For students of biomedical engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology she conducts lectures on laser biomedicine, biophotonics, contemporary issues of biomedical engineering, biomeasurements at the nanoscale, biomaterials, as well as many other laboratory classes. She has supervised dozens of diploma theses.
Dr. Hab. n. med. Dariusz Jagielski, professor of the university – acting dean of the Medical Faculty at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, physician, cardiologist, electrophysiologist, deputy head of the Cardiology Clinic of the Heart Disease Center at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital in Wrocław. His professional and scientific activity concerns electrophysiology, and more specifically the introduction of modern medical technologies to clinical practice. It includes, among others, such issues as: implantation of electrodeless pacemakers, stimulation of the phrenic nerve in sleep apnea in people with heart failure, percutaneous removal of pacemakers, long-term ECG monitoring.
Member of the Polish Cardiac Society and the Heart Rhythm Section of the Polish Cardiac Society and the European Society of Cardiology.
For almost 30 years, he has been educating doctors – including internists and cardiologists in the field of electrophysiology and cardiology. He is an active participant in scientific conferences and symposia as a lecturer, co-chair of discussion panels and presenter of papers. He takes part in the most important scientific events in the areas of medicine close to him in Poland and abroad, e.g. in India, Greece, Germany, Finland, Italy and the USA.
Professor Robert Śmigiel has been associated with the Medical University (UM) in Wrocław since the beginning of his professional career, he worked in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, in the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology in the Department of Pathophysiology and the Department of Genetics. He received his specialization in pediatrics in 2004, in clinical genetics in 2008, in neonatology in 2013, in metabolic pediatrics in 2017.
He is currently the head of the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Propedeutics of Pediatrics and Rare Diseases at the Medical University in Wrocław. For many years he has been a consulting physician in the field of pediatric genetics in all neonatal and pediatric departments in Wrocław and Opole.
The research work of Prof. Robert Śmigiel focuses on the issues of developmental defects, dysmorphic syndromes and metabolic diseases in children. He is also the author of many chapters in scientific and didactic textbooks in the field of pediatrics, neonatology, clinical genetics and didactic materials in guides for parents of children with developmental disorders.
For many years he has been cooperating socially with associations and foundations of parents and guardians of children with intellectual disabilities, developmental disorders, genetic and metabolic diseases. He is the founder of the Association for Children with Rare Genetic Diseases and their Families "Wspólnie" and the chairman of the National Board of the L'Arche Foundation in Poland, which runs family homes and organizes workplaces for adults with intellectual disabilities.
As a pediatrician and clinical geneticist, he received, among others, the Prof. Z. Religa Award "Exceptional Physician" (2013). He was also nominated for the "Angels of Medicine" award in 2015. In 2019, he received the distinction from the Mayor of Wrocław "Wrocław without barriers".
Dr. Agnieszka Siennicka, graduate of human biology (2008) and psychology (2013) at the University of Wrocław. Her doctorate in health sciences (2014), carried out at the Medical University of Wrocław (UMW) thanks to a grant from the National Science Centre (Preludium, 2012-2015), concerned the psychological determinants of non-compliance with medical recommendations in patients with heart failure. Work at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of UMW (since 2015) involves teaching students (classes in human physiology for students of medicine and dentistry) and further research in the area of patient education, also using modern devices.
In 2020-2022, she implemented the HeartBIT_4.0 training grant (Application of innovative Medical Data Science technologies for heart diseases - application of innovative techniques for analyzing medical data in cardiology). The project (financed by the European Commission under Horizon 2020) aimed to improve the competences of the Medical University employees in the field of modern methods and modern philosophy of conducting experiments and analyzing medical data.

Initiator of the optional classes "Introduction to the practical application of artificial intelligence in health", implemented at UMW from March 2023.
Currently involved in numerous initiatives aimed at creating innovative solutions for patients and increasing awareness in the area of digital medicine and innovation in the medical environment.

Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, profesorka Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu, przewodnicząca Rady Doradczej Kotler Impact Poland, wice przewodnicząca Zachodniej Rady Gospodarczej, doradca wielu polskich i międzynarodowych firm i korporacji w zakresie marketingu, strategii rozwoju i PR. Od 2022 roku - profesorka wizytująca na Kasetsart University w Bangkoku. Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń to konsultantka i specjalistka ds marki i strategii firmy, badaczka i naukowiec w jednym. W swej karierze wygłosiła już ponad 20 „power speachy”, współprowadziła podcasty. Regularnie prowadzi również szkolenia i warsztaty dla wielu renomowanych firm (rodzimych i zagranicznych), działających zarówno na polskim, jak i na globalnym rynku. Jest autorką wielu publikacji naukowych, w tym książki „Rebranding. Strategiczna zmiana dla organizacji”, wydanej przez PWN, która otrzymała prestiżowe wyróżnienie „Economicus 2020”– przyznawane na mocy wyborów Kapituły konkursu przez Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
